Adult Softball Local Rules

FORFEIT
The Recreation Department Reserves the right to drop a team from the league after the team loses by 3 forfeits.

EQUIPMENT
1) All teams must supply their own practice balls, bats, catcher’s equipment. The Recreation will supply game balls.

2) At games, each team will supply a new game ball.

3) No metal spikes allowed. If a player is caught with metal spikes, play will be null ans void, and the player ejected from the game.

4) Bats – In addition to USSSA rules regarding bats and bat restrictions, the following rules apply:

    A) No composite bats allowed
    B) The bat make, model, & specifications must be readable on the bat
    C) See list(s) of restricted bats http://www.softball.org/about/certified_equipment.asp
    D) The Recreation Department has the right to modify this list at any time.

5) All players must come completely clothed. Shirts must be worn and bathing trunks are not allowed.

6) The umpire has the right to eliminate any piece of equipment he deems as deficient or dangerous.

7) Each team should carry a first aid kit in order to handle excessive bleeding which will cause a player to leave the game if uncontrolled.
