Criminal (Disorderly & Petty Disorderly persons violations)

All non-traffic violations are listed on the criminal court calendar. The word "criminal" may seem particularly severe, however, this classification varies from the most minor violations to the most serious.

Non-traffic violations will require a court appearance and the procedures are the same as mentioned in the TRAFFIC portion of this website. If a person has been charged with an indictable offense, the matter cannot be disposed in municipal court until it has been forwarded to the County Prosecutor's Office where it will be determined whether the case will be disposed at the municipal or the county level.
