The Tax Collector is charged by statute with collecting funds needed to support the following:

• Freehold Township Local School District
• Freehold Regional High School District
• County of Monmouth (county government)
• County of Monmouth Library system
• County of Monmouth Open Space
• Freehold Township Fire Districts
• Township of Freehold (local government)

Tax Collection due dates are February 1st, May 1st, August 1st, and November 1st. There is a ten day grace period for payment.

This department is also responsible for collecting water and sewer rents as well as water and sewer connection fees and meter charges.
