Tick Management Strategies

Although recognition and avoidance of tick-infested areas and the use of the preventive measures will dramatically reduce the risk of transmission, there are situations when controlling tick populations is warranted. In general, tick control strategies fall into 4 basic categories: host reduction, biological control, habitat management (mechanical control), and chemical control.
