Construction
The Construction Department is responsible for enforcing the regulations of the State Uniform Construction Code, which was established by the State of New Jersey to ensure that new construction (commercial, industrial, and residential) adheres to minimum standards of workmanship and safety. The Inspectors review structural construction, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, and electrical work prior to the issuance of a certificate of occupancy to ensure compliance with the State Uniform Construction Code. The Township utilizes State inspectors to perform elevator inspections.
We know that the requirements dictated by the State's Uniform Construction Codes for obtaining a permit can be frustrating. While it is the responsibility of this office to ensure compliance with these statutes, we are here to assist you in any way possible throughout the process.
Feel free to call or visit us at any time.
