Forman House

The John Fisher T. Forman, Jr. (J.F.T. Forman, Jr.) Farm dates from circa 1860, located in the "Forman neighborhood," so named because of the large number of Forman family members living in central and southwestern Monmouth County. The Formans were early Scottish settlers in the Freehold area, the first arriving about 1685. The farmhouse is a wonderful example of Italianate architecture that was quite popular in the 3rd quarter of the 19th century around the area.
