Alan Walker

Title: Mayor

Alan Walker has been a nearly lifelong resident of Freehold Township, having moved here in 1970. He is a product of our Local School Systems, attending the original West Freehold Elementary School, Clifton T. Barkalow Middle School and Freehold Township High School.

He is a graduate of Stockton University, where he played on the Baseball Team and served as a Student Senator and Chairman of the Bylaws Committee.

He has volunteered his time and talents to several different local organizations, including coaching in the Freehold Township Little League in both softball and baseball, serving in the position of Co-Chairman of the annual Ocean County School Business Officials Scholarship Golf Outing for deserving high school students, Executive Board Member and subsequently President of the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials Business Partnership from 2013 through 2017 and, most recently, served as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner from January 2011 through January of 2020, the last two years as Commission Chairman.

In addition to his Township Committee responsibilities, he will now be serving as the Liaison to the Shade Tree Commission and the Youth Guidance Council.
